Nestle Professional has launched a new coffee drink infused with nitrogen – said to give the beverage a smoother taste.
Nescafe Azera Nitro is available to bars, pubs and restaurants and can be served from a lightweight tap, producing a ‘settling effect’ caused by the nitrogen as the coffee drink is poured from into a glass.
Best served chilled, the drink is also available in a single-serve can variant – in both Americano and Latte flavours. The Americano is a black coffee infused with nitrogen, while the Latte – a milky drink with coffee – is said to offer a smooth and creamier tasting option.
The drinks are made with coffee sourced through the Nescafe Plan, which aims to help secure the future of coffee.
UK and Ireland managing director of Nestle beverages, Neil Stephens, said: “This is a really exciting launch and promises to bring our premium Nescafe Azera brand to the forefront of the hospitality sector. In the year when we are celebrating the 80th Birthday of Nescafe, the launch of Nescafe Azera Nitro shows how our business is continually innovating and evolving with the times.”
Nestle Professional business executive officer, George Vezza, added: “With Nescafe Azera Nitro joining the Nestle Professional range, we can offer our partners even more choice for their customers. Non-alcoholic beverage options are increasingly important for the UK consumer, especially younger generations.
“Nescafe Azera Nitro means Neste Professional can help our partners across all the catering and hospitality sectors make the most of these changes with our novel, attractive and great tasting chilled coffee drink.”
