The Ivy Collection to launch in Manchester

Restaurant group the Ivy Collection has confirmed it will be launching The Ivy Spinningfields in Manchester on 27 November. The restaurant is located in the city’s financial district and is set across four floors. Its 535 cover makes it the largest restaurant to open in the UK this year. The restaurant will feature a ground floor brasserie, first floor private dining room, an Asian bar and restaurant on the second floor and a Roof Garden featuring fire pits and lush foliage on the top floor. The Ivy Spinningfields will occupy a timber framed space within a new development, The Pavilion, surrounded by greenery. The brasserie will be open all day, seven days a week, serving modern British classics and the menus will feature a variety of dishes including truffled orzo pasta, lobster linguine and slow-cooked lamb shoulder. The Dalton Room on the first floor accommodates parties of up to 20 seated guests. The private room will be available to book seven days a week. The second floor of The Ivy Spinningfields will be the first ever “Ivy Asia”, a bar and restaurant, serving Asian-inspired cocktails alongside dishes such as Wagyu beef with truffle sauce, salmon fillet teriyaki, and avocado, crispy tofu, lime and ginger dressing. The entire floor will be illuminated with a green, semi-precious stone floor, set against an antique gold mirrored bar, gold-gilt ceiling and luxurious Asian fabrics. The Geisha Room, a stunning private room with bespoke mirrored artwork, is also available to hire privately. On the top floor will be Manchester’s first Roof Garden. With a fully retractable roof, the spectacular space will be open all year round. The restaurant’s general manager will be Kate Cooper, Steve Scoullar is the site’s senior head chef, Jason Annette as head chef and Luke Mason as bar manager. Baton Berisha, director of operations for The Ivy Collection, said: “We are incredibly excited to bring The Ivy Collection to Manchester this winter. Situated within the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester’s luxury dining and shopping quarter, we can’t wait to showcase our different floors, dining concepts and offerings. There’ll be something for everyone and we hope to bring something new to the city.”
