Food and drink organisation, Taste of the West, has announced a new partnership with Beco Energy Limited.
The company will provide its 1,100 members with energy, in a hope to show its commitment to sustainability.
John Sheaves, chief executive of Taste of the West, said “We are delighted to have such a prestigious company supporting our membership. Sustainability has leaped up the business and consumer agenda in recent months and the food and drink sector are rising to the challenge to provide wholesome, quality food and drink from our wonderful region – but businesses now know that this must be provided in a sustainable way, whether it is a sustainable source of packaging and the elimination of single-use plastics, or using power which is from a sustainable source.
“Rising to this challenge, we are delighted to welcome Beco Energy Limited on board as long term partners.”
Simon Nicholls, group general manager, Beco Power Limited, said “Beco are delighted to partner with Taste of the West. Together these two organisations carry a combined history of supporting South West businesses for over 75 years and we very much look forward to being able to assist the illustrious members of Taste of the West.
“As a South West businessman, I love nothing more than supporting local food and drink producers and I am very excited to be able to support Taste of the West members by reducing carbon emissions and providing innovative decentralised renewable energy solutions.”
