The Courthouse has announced its plans to launch its anticipated Rooftop Gardens in celebration of its 200th anniversary.
Since its launch in 2017, the Courthouse, built in 1818, has planned a sun terrace serving small plates and afternoon tea by day and a champagne and cocktail bar by night. A year later, Rooftop Gardens will be officially open on 28 July for guests to book for corporate events, private parties, wedding receptions, product launches and filming events.
Rooftop Gardens will offer daily afternoon teas with a selection of loose leaf teas by Tea from the Manor and Arabica coffee from local company, Jaunty Goat in addition to special menu created by executive chef Steven Tuke.
The menu includes British seasonal small plates such as light salads, sharing platters, meats from the Inka Grill, traditional burgers, pizettas from the clay based oven, market fish and steak of the day.
At night, Rooftop Gardens offers a large selection of gins, whiskies, international wines, champagne from Perrier Jouet and botanical and garden-themed signature cocktails from the Rooftop team.
The space of Rooftop Gardens was restored and designed by local family-run hotel group Flat Cap Hotels.
