Individual Restaurants has reported stronger-than-market trading over the 2025 Christmas period, with sales rising 6% year-on-year and record performance on New Year’s Eve, despite continued pressure across the hospitality sector.
The group – which operates Piccolino, Riva Blu, Restaurant Bar and Grill and Forbici – said it outperformed the wider market on both sales and transactions, with New Year’s Eve sales up 10% compared with the previous year.
Performance was described as consistent across brands, with premium occasions, private dining and group bookings driving growth during the festive period.
Alongside the trading update, the company announced a series of senior promotions as it positions 2026 as a year of growth focused on brand development, guest loyalty and innovation.
At group level, Toni Dennan has been promoted to group marketing and sales director, while Samantha Dhaliwal becomes concept and international director. Selena Green, commercial and insights director, has expanded her remit to include technology, with responsibility for technology investment and AI initiatives.
Within the portfolio of brands, Francesco Fiore has been appointed managing director of Piccolino. Tolga Sen has been named director of operations for Restaurant Bar and Grill, Riva Blu, Forbici and new concepts.
Andrew Garton, chief executive of Individual Restaurants, said: “Our restaurants are built around special occasions, great food, exceptional hospitality and the people who bring those moments to life. In a challenging trading environment, our teams rose to the occasion this Christmas, delivering record results when it mattered most and I couldn’t be prouder.
“We’ve been deliberate about building the right leadership foundations for this next stage. These changes give us sharper focus, stronger accountability and the confidence to grow, not just our existing, well established and much loved brands, but the new ideas and dining concepts that will define our future.”
The group said three new restaurant sites are confirmed to open before the summer, with further locations planned later in the year. It is also preparing to launch a new loyalty programme and app in the spring, alongside continued food and drink development and the rollout of new dining concepts before the end of 2026.
