Fridays has announced it is set to open its latest and 86th UK restaurant in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
The flagship site will be located at The Glass Works, a destination food and shopping centre that is situated near Superbowl UK and Cineworld.
Spanning 5,300 square feet, the site will feature a Fridays bar as well as a spacious restaurant area, accommodating over 200 guests with both indoor and outdoor seating available. In addition, the restaurant will look out over the new public square at the heart of The Glass Works.
The opening is expected to create around 60 full and part-time jobs for people in the area.
Robert B. Cook, Fridays CEO, said: “We are extremely excited to be bringing our best ever food and drinks menu, alongside that iconic Fridays service and spirit of generosity, to Barnsley town centre. We have always felt the love and loyalty from our Yorkshire fans and can’t wait to spread that Fridays Feeling even further across the county.”
Cllr Steve Houghton, leader of Barnsley Council, added: “We’re thrilled to be able to announce that Fridays will open in The Glass Works. They are a hugely popular brand that will continue to grow our retail and leisure offer and provide people with even more reasons to come and enjoy our town centre. It’s going to be a great year for the Glass Works and for Barnsley.”
