On Thursday 5 April 2018, the chefs from Nipa Thai at Royal Lancaster London joined the teams from other renowned Thai restaurants in the capital to present an evening of authentic Thai flavour.
Over 70 guests attended the Thai Select event at Ice Tank in Soho, experiencing Thai cuisine from Nipa Thai, Patara, Mango Tree, Suda and Thai Square.
Nipa Thai has received the prestigious ‘Thai Select’ award from the Thai Government for its traditional cuisine. Head chef Sanguan Parr leads an all-female, all-Thai kitchen, while the front-of-house team are also all from Thailand.
The accolade is presented to Thai restaurants that are proven to have achieved the highest standards of quality using time-honoured recipes, methods and ingredients.
Sanguan Parr from Nipa Thai served Chicken Satay and Kow Grieb Pak Mor; followed by Chor Muang from Patara; Miang Kham from Mango Tree; Som Tum from Suda; and Panang Chicken Curry served by Thai Square.
The event was hosted by Thai Select, to celebrate the launch of their Facebook and Twitter pages, and to continue to bring together Thai Select restaurants in London and promote truly authentic cuisine.
