Eric’s Fish and Chips to open second site in St Ives

Eric’s Fish And Chips has announced it will open a second site in St Ives, Cambridgeshire on 1 June.

The new site for the restaurant brand operated by chef Eric Snaith, will be located at Abbey Retail Park on Harrison Way. It will be a 66-cover restaurant and takeaway, with a 24-cover outdoor terrace. The menu offers traditional British fish and chips with modern European influences, inspired by Snaith’s three-AA Rosette restaurant, Titchwell Manor.

Open from noon until 9pm daily, the menu aims to highlight the best of the Norfolk coast, using sustainably-sourced fish. Signature dishes will include cod and chips fried in Green King IPA batter and beef dripping, a Japanese style fish burger, and gruyere and spinach arancini, all accompanied by homemade sauces.

Drinks will range from Eric’s Fish And Chips’ own Session pale ale, made in collaboration with Brewboard brewers, and available to takeaway in growlers from mid-July, through to wines and champagnes from long-time Titchwell Manor supplier Hallgarten Druit.

Snaith said: “We are extremely excited to open our newest restaurant in Cambridgeshire’s most iconic market town. The St Ives site will have its own look and feel, whilst continuing the tradition of serving the highest-quality sustainably sourced fish to locals and visitors alike.”

Eric’s Fish And Chips St Ives is the first of two new openings from husband and wife team Eric and Lydia Snaith this summer, with a third site scheduled to open in Holt, Norfolk on 20 June.
